You can get backlinks by simply asking sites to link to you though usually they’ll ask you to link back. A great way to get backlinks without having to that then is to try submitting your articles – with your links included in them – to other sites or online article directories. The most well known article directory for this is EzineArticles and you can search a good few articles here depending on how well you follow your guidelines. Even better is the fact that other sites are encouraged to lift articles from this directory, so that if you have an article on EzineArticles it could well go on sites all around the internet with your link included. Additionally you may be able to offer your articles to other sites directly giving them more content and getting a backlink in return.

Article marketing then is a great way to build backlinks when combined with traditional methods. Keep plugging away with both and eventually you should start to see results – and profit!
